Welding Standards

Welding standards must be maintained in order to produce quality welds. Welding standards apply to all types of welding, including electron beam welding. Proper and modern welding standards are provided by the American Welding Society (AWS).

Beamalloy Electron Beam Welding Standards

Welding standards are maintained on file at Beamalloy, as needed. Copies of welding standards maintained at Beamalloy may be purchased from the AWS. Welding standards maintained on file include:

  • AWS C7.1M/C7.1: 2004 Recommended Practices for Electron Beam Welding
  • AWS C7.3: 1999 Process Specification for Electron Beam Welding

AWS C7.1M/C7.1: 2004 Recommended Practices for Electron Beam Welding

The AWS C7.1M/C7.1 is currently the dominant standard for electron beam welding. Beamalloy adheres to this standard in order to provide the hard, straight, and secure welds of all sizes and shapes that clients demand.

AWS C7.3: 1999 Process Specification for Electron Beam Welding

The AWS C7.3 is determined by the American Welding Society as the best quality process specification standard for electron beam welding. Beamalloy adheres to this standard in order to precisely meet all client welding demands.
